For the love of art.
Oil by Daniel Corey
"This painting is from the large wooded area that surrounds my home near Sebago Lake. The poem 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening' by Robert Frost, seems to rattle around my head every time I’m out there.
Everywhere you look in the forest, there are options, lefts and rights, travel further, go home, maybe stop find a path and paint.. So the metaphor for life is fully represented in the woods, this painting has one dark, thin tree in the foreground, which could be any obstacle in life, easily navigated by walking around, but we end up leaving those obstacles in our way."
